Tefillin and Phylacteries were two of the ten most-GOOGLED words last week. I assume our readers know the story of:
Jewish Teen’s Tefillin Diverts US Airways Flight 3709 From LaGuardia The flight landed in Philadelphia and was met by police, bomb-sniffing dogs and officials from the FBI and Transportation Security Administration.
The media are having a field-day with this story:
Teen Tefillin Terrorism
Phylactery Phlight Phobia
Rather than go over the much trodden ground of “Airline sensitivity to Orthodox Jewish law” or “Orthodox Jewish awareness of the fear that unusual public behaviour causes on airlines” I thought I give you an insider’s look at events here at KosherTube World Headquarter (KTWHQ).
The teen’s grandmother, who was waiting for him at Louisville International Airport, said the early flight left no time to pray before leaving New York. “He hadn’t had the opportunity to pray, so that is why he did it on the plane,” Frances Winchell said. She said the episode was traumatic for the boy, whose mother requested that he not give interviews. “But in any event,” she added, “all’s well that ends well, and maybe some good will come to the world because of it.”
Well perhaps Mrs Winchell had Ruach HaKodesh. Our virtual phone kept ring off the hook. KosherTube has more than a dozen videos on the subject of Tefillin:
How To We Wear Them; Why We Wear Them; How To Make Them; What’s Inside; Etc, Etc
So the major media outlets all beat a path to our digital door and we had countless GOOGLE Alerts about new links and new references to KosherTube.
Remember YOU were there first,
