Rabbi Pinchas Winston (www.thirtysix.org) talks about the Kabbalistic impact of sacrifices on Creation and world rectification, and how prayer is supposed to continue that process today.
his Chassidic cantorial melody is set to the words of Tal Yasis, a prayer for dew and is recited during the Mussaf prayer of the 1st day of Passover. It was composed by the well-known Lubavitcher disciple and vocalist, Reb Avrohom Charitonov of Nikolayev. When this melody was sung in Lubavitch on Pesach in 1899 (5649), the Rebbe Rashab, the fifth Chabad Rebbe at the time, was touched by its warmth and requested that it be sung often.
